Management Supervision of Lift Truck Operators

Learn how to manage and supervise forklift operators safely and effectively.

On completion of the course you will have an appreciation of the basic practical operating skills of forklift truck operators.

The course content includes statutory requirements and codes of practice, the role of the supervisor, machine familiarisation, daily checks including re-fueling and battery maintenance, steering, loading and stacking procedures and much more.

Course Objective

To teach related job safety knowledge and an appreciation of basic practical operating skills to managers or supervisors whose duties may include the management or supervision of lift truck operators.

  • Re-fuelling and Re-charging of Gas, Electric or Diesel Counterbalance Forklift truck
  • Pre-use checks

  • Motive and hydraulic controls of the Counterbalance
  • Manoeuvring the Forklift Truck in open and confined areas
  • Stacking at different levels
  • De-stacking with laden and un-laden pallets
  • Loading and unloading lorries with the Counterbalance
